What to do

1. Use an encyclopedia, textbook, or dictionary to get an overview of the middle ages
   • When was the middle ages?
   • Who had the power at the time?
   • Are there any aspects of this time period similar to today?
   • What types of technology were invented at this time?
2. Read a few Historical Fiction novels set during the Middle Ages
• As you read reflect on the lifestyle from this era
• Make a list of anything intersting you want to learn more about
3. Explore Some comercial sites related to the Middle Ages
• How is it similar to a historical ficion novel?
• Do you trust the sites accuracy?
4. Start to choose a focus, for what you will create for our village
• What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
• Do you prefer to work alone or together?
• Do you have any ideas about what you would want in our Medival village
5. Once you are focused on what to create, explore the various images
• How long do you think it took to make something?
• Ponder the apperance of the various clothing?
• Do you think the artwork is historically accurate?
6. Lastly go to the various Virtual exhibits
• How are these sites different from the comerical sites?
• Can you find answers to all of your questions here?
• Are there any aspects of this time period similar to today?
• Feel free to use these as reference for your product
7. Take the time to start creating
• Be creative
• Try to recreate something from a novel or history
• Write your sources on a notecard so others can learn more about your great work
• Remember to have fun
